Blogging for Traffic

Writing content for a blog is one way to get traffic.  Your blog might not be popular when you start out. The idea of blogging is to keep adding information on your topic.

There are many different kinds of blogs that you can do.  If you are having a hard time coming up with topics, you could always head over to ezine articles and read some of the article prompts that can help you get started.

They have different article templates that can give you the focus to start on new articles for your blog.  Think about doing some brainstorming on your topic and come at topics from different ways.

Blogging doesn't have to be really complex content.  It can be just what you want it to be.  Light content that is focused on your area can be just as good as an indepth article.

Blog topics can be something that is current and getting a lot of attention or you can write evergreen content that will be popular for time periods into the future.

Switch up your blog content to include more than just written text.  Add some pictures, make some videos and do some podcasts.  Your older written content can be changed into new media formats that give you a new way to grow your audience.

Blogging can be on just about anything.  What did you do sunday morning?  Did you watch the Sunday morning talk shows?  Did anything stand out?  Those could be some blog topics.  Did you watch any good movies?  How does it relate to your blog or your business?  Your blog could also just be about having fun and you don't have to take it too serious.

If you love writing, a blog is a good way to express your ideas and you might even be able to get a few extra dollars on the side by including your affiliate marketing offers.  Blogging for traffic is nothing new.  There have been changes with the search engines, but you want to stay focused on creating information for your audience.  Even if the search engines don't send you a butt load of traffic, you might still grow a following and they start linking back to your information.

Web Traffic and Conversions - Getting Traffic but nobody is buying what you are selling

Getting a bunch of clicks but getting no converting actions.  This can be really frustrating.  Something must be wrong with the approach that is taken.

Trying it all and nothing seems to work. Writing a bunch of articles and posting them online has not turned into a real cash maker for you.  It takes a lot of time and effort and you still don't see the results.

Video marketing is less time consuming but even there, you might get a few views, but getting people to click and take the offer is still a challenge.

What about creating your own domain name and forwarding the traffic to the offer.  This might get you some traffic, but if the traffic is not targeted, you are right back in the same boat of getting clicks with no conversions.

The traffic and conversion challenge has to be solved in order to make anything happen.  Everyday you log onto clickbank and see all the zeros.  You check the stats and see that some people clicked your links, but they didn't take the next step to buy anything.

Maybe it is time to create your own mailing list.  Getting people to join a list should not be that hard to do.  You still need traffic, but once you get them on the list, you have an audience that you can go back to time and time again.  The only thing about getting a list is that you have to pay money and that is what most people don't want to do when you are starting up.
